My husband and I have been members of St Peter Damian since 2004. We have two children who received their sacraments here. I was approached in 2014 by Pastor Father Walter, to start a preschool at our parish because he saw a need and desire for the program.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Education from Eastern Illinois University and a Masters of Education in Administrative Leadership from Concordia University. Throughout my teaching career, I've taught and worked with students from Early Childhood through 6th grade. Since I was 12 years old I've been volunteering or have had jobs that worked with children. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in preschool!
I am honored to have been given the opportunity and task to start and grow the Precious Tots Preschool program. I feel it is an important ministry to serve the youngest people of our parish and the local community, because they are the future. When my oldest child was Baptized, the Deacon told us, "It takes a village to raise a child." I feel we have a supportive village here at Precious Tots, and I'm grateful that families give us the opportunity to be a part of their village.
