Programs

Precious Tots provides a strong academic, social, and faith based curriculum.  We prepare students for Kindergarten at their appropriate academic level.  Through small class environments, we meet the needs of each student.  Students are active participants in their own learning.  Each child has a portfolio that logs their growth throughout the year, along with photos to remember their favorite preschool memories.

Expanding Academic Skills Through Small Class Sizes!

Two & You (2 year old & parent class)

Our Parent/Child class is an opportunity for 2 year olds to interact in a school environment with their parent or another adult.  The class is led by a preschool teacher and children are able to participate in school like activities such as listening to stories, learning new songs, and
rotating through preschool “centers”.

This class begins in October each year  Details and registration can be found here: www.tinyurl.com/TwoandYou

3 Year Old Preschool Class

Our three year old program introduces students to school. Students work on social skills and  self confidence.  They expand academic skills and develop a love for God.

4 Year Old Preschool Class

Our four year old program reinforces the previous year’s social emotional skills and builds a deeper relationship with God.  Students gain academic confidence and the skills needed to be successful the following year in Kindergarten.

General Program Info

Precious Tots Preschool has small class sizes with a maximum of 14 students with two teachers.  Our teachers have Masters degrees.  We offer academic classes for 3 year olds and 4 year olds, as well as a free class for 2 year olds to attend with a parent.

Our Preschool program is developmentally appropriate.  This means that the activities the children engage in are appropriate for their age and their developmental level.  It also means that teachers work with each child to ensure that their individual educational and developmental needs are being met.

The goal of the preschool program is to provide a rich environment that encourages children to observe, to be active, to make choices, and to experiment.  Through interactions with the environment children will develop in the following areas:

  • Children will enhance both their large and small muscle control (gross and fine motor skills) and use all their senses in learning.

  • Children will develop socially and emotionally as they experience a sense of self-esteem, develop a positive attitude toward life, and demonstrate cooperative, pro-social behavior.

  • Children will develop cognitively as they acquire learning and problem solving skills, expand logical thinking skills, expand verbal communication skills, develop beginning reading and writing skills, acquire concepts and information leading to a fuller understanding of the world, and demonstrate skills in make-believe play.

  • Children will enhance their relationship with God through daily prayer, faith based stories, and activities.
